Wendre AS is one of Europe’s largest producers of bedding products that cares about environment. They create minimum waste and use environmentally sustainable technologies. Company works with high environmental standards. Their products are made of safe materials that and do not contain harmful chemicals. Wendre has Oeko-tex certificates for both baby and adult products.

Erkki Juckum – IT manager at Wendre AS told us that the company currently has about 1 000 employees. It has two separate Internet connections and both are 100 Mbps.
As many other companies, Wendre works with important data that needs to be protected from different attacks.

“We had some security incidents and constant performance issues with internet connections and Wi-Fi in the past. We used Range of Unify and Ruckus devices for Wi-Fi and WatchGuard XTM500 as a Firewall what was replaced with Firebox M440. Now we have proved this was a right choice.” – says Erkki.

Choosing WatchGuard Technologies

Erkki says that one of the reasons why Wendre AS migrated to WatchGuard was an excellent price and performance ratio. Along with that, WatchGuard provides easy and centralized management options and a fully featured security bundle.

Before the migration to WatchGuard, the company went through some stages of integration:

“We audited situation we had and after the analysis decided to implement solution, capable of handling current problems and much more if needed”, explains Erkki.

In addition to that, Wendre is going to standardize Wi-Fi solutions within their group of companies and they have already moved on with WatchGuard Access Points.

Results of implementation

For today, all data of Wendre AS is protected against hacking and malicious cyber attacks. They are satisfied with the choice they had made and plan to continue using WatchGuard Technologies.

“The next step is going to be standardization firewalls, vlans and wifi in all our companies because we are truly satisfied by the devices and features and the support from manufacturer which comes with it” – says Erkki.
